Talent spotting: Laura Felicity interiors

I first encountered Laura Felicity‘s range of wallpaper and home accessories at TENT London 2012, where I was immediately seduced by her hand screenprinted designs and delicate embroidered details. I have a bit of a weakness for anything floral and girlie, and Laura’s range treads just the right path of feeling romantic and feminine without veering off into twee territory.

Her combination of traditional bird and floral motifs interspersed with clean geometric patterns keeps her designs feeling young and fresh and not too chintzy. I also really love her unexpected use of handcraft techniques, such as paper cutting on the wallpaper and embroidering elements of printed designs. Plus, anyone who takes the time the screenprint every single roll of wallpaper by hand is a bit of a hero in my book! Check out more of her work on her website.
